Dear Symantec Enterprise Division Partner,

We are reaching out today to thank you for your continued patience as we make this transition from Symantec to Broadcom and to apologize for not communicating more proactively.

We recognize the integration with Broadcom has been challenging for many of you. The migration over to Broadcom systems was more difficult than we anticipated and is taking more time to complete than originally planned but we are working to accelerate the process.

First, to ensure continuity for your customers, we have extended all expiring licenses of Symantec solutions so that everyone will remain protected during the transition. Please continue to verify the effective expiration dates of your existing orders within the support portal.

Next, we want to reassure you that we will continue to support and focus on our partner community and are not moving to a direct sales model. Symantec’s Enterprise business depends upon our partners now more than ever. For over 98% of our customers, we will rely on our partners to carry our message and represent the Symantec products.

We are making changes that we believe will help you drive a more profitable Symantec Enterprise business over time and are aligning Symantec and CA, Broadcom tools so you can get solution information, marketing assets, training, and more. To help keep you updated on the latest information around the SED portfolio, we will be kicking off a series of Partner Enablement trainings called Partner Speedcasts in March. We will deliver content for your Sales, PreSales, Implementation and Marketing audiences. Check out our new portal here and watch for updates on the Partner Speedcasts calendar.

Over the next quarter, we plan to transition the Secure One partner program into the CA Technologies’ Partner Program. We realize that some of you may have been surprised to receive communications from CA Technologies as it relates to the Symantec business and we’d like to clarify that as well. The Symantec Enterprise Division is now fully owned and operated by CA, Inc. (or the applicable regional CA company), a Broadcom company. References to CA companies are related to the structure of the Broadcom acquisition so you will continue to see references to CA entities in contracts and other documentation and tools going forward.

Partner benefits will continue under the current program with one exception that is effective immediately. We have increased the deal registration threshold from a minimum of $xxK to $xxK and we are automating deal registration very soon.

We are streamlining other processes and will share more information later this month. As we move to our new learning management system, deal registration tool, cloud marketplaces, and migrate our cloud platform from AWS to Google Cloud you may experience some limited downtime and we will keep you notified as these changes get closer.

Finally, we know it’s been hard to get help with orders and/or your questions, so we have set up a Partner Help Desk to try and get you answers more quickly. Please email partners@broadcompartnerhelpdesk.com with any questions and we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.
